3 Solutions invest in local talent with their successful Apprentice Scheme

3 Solutions are continuing to invest in the future of the business and assisting with the growth of the local community by increasing their number of apprentices to five.

Apprentices Charlie Howell, Jay Clacee-Rowe, Niall Taylor, Scott Gutteridge and Kai Davis are studying a range of skills including plumbing, electrics, painting and decorating, carpentry and business administration at local colleges Bridgwater and Taunton, complementing the services that 3 Solutions provide.

Rich Watts, Director of 3 Solutions commented “It is a great way for us to support local school leavers to gain valuable work experience and offer them a career path and in return as a business we develop our own skilled operatives within their chosen trades”.  He also mentioned that “on successful completion of the apprenticeship, 3 Solutions would intend to offer the apprentice’s full time positions within the company.”

The apprentices get to work alongside their qualified colleagues and as their knowledge and experience grows they are able to complete works themselves under the guidance and supervision of their mentors. Apprentice Niall Taylor commented “I’m now in my second year of a plumbing apprenticeship when I started with 3 Solutions I couldn’t even change a pair of taps but with patience, teaching and guidance I can now undertake my own jobs such as fitting baths and running pipework for heating systems, under the supervision of others”.
