3 Solutions Supporting Crisis at Christmas

Instead of sending customer Christmas cards this year, 3 Solutions decided to spend the money on a more worthwhile cause; “Crisis at Christmas.” The effects of which should last much longer than the period of time that we keep a card on a shelf.

In addition, following a weekly Christmas jumper day on the weeks leading up to the festive period, staff donned their best Christmas attire and donated some cash for the privilege.

In total, enough money was raised to purchase five “Crisis at Christmas” packages.

Each package included;

  • A hot, delicious, nutritious Christmas dinner
  • Advice on housing, benefits, finances, employment, as well as legal matters
  • Healthcare, including TB and hepatitis screenings
  • Dental treatment and eye tests, including glasses
  • Hairdressing and massage treatments
  • Learning and skills opportunities, internet cafés and IT workshops
  • Access to specialist centres providing safe accommodation to rough sleepers, women and people with dependency issues
  • PLUS access to Crisis’ year-round services for training and support in the year ahead.

At Christmas when we are surrounded by family and friends whilst we over-indulge in Christmas fare, we sometimes forget those who may not be as fortunate as us. By purchasing these packages, not only are we providing a person with a nutritious Christmas meal, we are also providing a level of hope by offering some extra support that could potentially lead them into a life-changing situation.
