This week we meet Contracts Administrator Bryony Vickery…

Hi Bryony, tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi I’m Bryony and I am 24 years old. I live in Wincanton but have lived locally in Shepton Mallet, Glastonbury and Frome, so a Somerset girl at heart! Excitingly I have recently purchased my first house with my boyfriend.

What’s your role at 3 Solutions?

I am a Contracts Administrator at 3 Solutions and deal with the heating, plumbing and electrical works. My role is to manage all jobs associated with these trades from the point of quotation, orders received right up to completion. I also organise the operative’s diaries, order parts required for the jobs and I do some quoting/pricing for jobs associated with these trades.

How long have you been working here?

I’ve worked here for four and a half years, so I’m very much part of the furniture now!

Describe your typical workday.

My workday begins by calling clients who are in need of repairs and booking suitable appointments for them. I then oversee and check all our jobs the team are attending during the day, this includes ordering relevant materials, re-booking follow up visits, getting prices from suppliers, organising quotations and reporting to clients and customers as necessary.

What’s the favourite part of your job.

Working with the team. I think it is imperative to have a good working relationship with all your colleagues and I believe we have this down to a tee.

Do you benefit from training within your role?

Definitely. I really enjoy learning new things and I have recently completed First Aid and Asbestos Awareness Training, benefitting hugely from both of these courses. I also learn new things every day from our operatives regarding the work we do.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

As I mentioned above I have recently bought my first home with my partner of nine years. This is a huge accomplishment for us as we saved for a long time to achieve this. We are now changing things around our house to make it our own.
