Hi Jamie, tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Jamie, I live in Midsomer Norton and started my working life as a carpenter.

What’s your role at 3 Solutions?

At 3 Solutions I’m a Maintenance Surveyor and one of the Line Managers to our operatives. I started here as a multi-trade carpenter before progressing to the role of Maintenance Surveyor.

How long have you been working here?

I’ve now been here a year, working on all aspects of domestic and commercial property maintenance and renovation.

Describe your typical workday.

My typical day includes surveying jobs, ordering materials and preparing quotes for customers. I also look after a team of operatives so making sure they are happy and that we are on track with jobs throughout the region both for our commercial and residential customers.

What’s the favourite part of your job.

My favourite part of the job is the satisfaction of a job well done by the team. I am proud to work for a business where everyone takes pride in what they do and what we can achieve.

Do you benefit from training within your role?

We get really great support with our training and I regularly stay up to date with health and safety training as well as the Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS).

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

I am a keen fan of moto cross and enjoy taking part in enduro events around the area. I also like to walk my dogs in and around where I live.
