Each week we are featuring members of the 3 Solutions team, this week we meet Katie Barber…

Hi Katie, tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi I’m Katie, I live in Midsomer Norton with my partner and we have recently bought our first house.  We are both big football fans and follow Yeovil Town FC which means that we usually spend our weekends traveling to away games.

What’s your role at 3 Solutions?

I’m a Contracts Administrator based in the head office in Shepton Mallet.

How long have you been working here?

I’ve been working for 3 Solutions for just over a year.

Describe your typical workday.

My typical workday involves speaking to clients, booking in work and arranging the operatives’ diaries. I also look after the PDA’s that the operatives use in their day-to-day working. This means that all our jobs are tracked and managed from start to finish, ensuring the most efficient service and quality of work. By streamlining our work processes and capturing the data from our operatives’ PDA’s it enables us to be more efficient, but it also gives us full exposure of the job throughout the process and after completion.

What’s the favourite part of your job.

I really enjoy the fast pace in the office, speaking to clients and the operatives as well as putting their diaries together making sure that we are as efficient as possible with our resources and time.

Do you benefit from training within your role?

3 Solutions are really supportive of our training needs and I have been on a first aid training course as well as being trained on our bespoke computer system.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

I love animals, I was brought up on a farm surrounded by pets, including a cow. Fast forward a couple of years, I now have fish and a house rabbit called Applejack.
