Meet the team - Luke Parfitt

This week we meet Voids Manager and keen football fan, Luke Parfitt…

Luke Parfitt Tell us a bit about yourself?

Hi, I’m Luke, and I live in Shepton Mallet with my partner and two children. I’m a keen football and enjoy watching football at the weekends, following Yeovil Town.

What’s your role at 3 Solutions?

I’m a Line/Voids Manager which means I organise labour and materials for each job as well as keeping track of their progress and partaking in post inspections. I also carry out health and safety toolbox talks and manage the tradesmen on a day-to-day basis.

How long have you been working here?

I’ve been working at 3 Solutions for six years, starting as a carpenter working on a wide range of projects and qualifying after studying site carpentry at Bath College for three years. I then had a promotion into the office where I now run the voids (empty homes) and day-to-day jobs, predominately for housing associations.Luke Parfitt

Describe your typical workday.

My typical day normally includes day-to-day inspections, void inspections, organising operatives, sorting out jobs and the diary for the day, sorting materials for our tradesmen as well as progress and post inspections for our housing association customers.

What’s the favourite part of your job.

It has to be the job satisfaction and getting the opportunity to oversee quality workmanship.

Do you benefit from training within your role?

I have just completed the Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) training course, which has really helped improve my skills on the health and safety side of my job. 3 Solutions have been really supportive in my training and helped me transition from on site to supervising the team.

Tell us something interesting about yourself!

As I mentioned earlier, I’m a really keen football fan, having currently visited over 30 grounds in the country!
