Bespoke porch design in Kilmersdon, Radstock
Our in-house carpenter carried out this replacement porch project, creating a bespoke porch design for our customer.
Here’s what we did…
We carried out an initial site visit to obtain measurements which meant we could then rebuild the majority of the porch in our workshop in Shepton Mallet.
Our carpenter constructed the frame work in our workshop and then started setting out the roof timbers. Once the frame work was fixed together the door frame was installed.
We then delivered the frame work of the porch to our customer’s house where we removed the old porch and disposed of it.
The new bespoke porch was then fitted to the house and existing concrete base, T&G boards were fixed to the lower sections of the porch leaving the top section ready for clear glass, the roof was then completed by installing new slates and refitting the existing lead flashings.
Our carpenter then hung a ledge and brace door and fitted 4mm clear glass. Once he had finished our decorators were next on site to prime, undercoat and gloss the porch with our customer choosing their own bespoke colour.
