Garage conversion: From unused space to a larger live-in kitchen area

3 Solutions have recently converted part of a garage at a property in Paulton in order to extend their existing kitchen creating a larger live-in kitchen area.

The fully managed project involved removing the adjoining wall between the garage and the existing kitchen, installing steel support beams, levelling off floors and ceilings to provide continuity throughout the new section as well as full plastering works.

The original rear garage doorway was blocked up and a new double glazed window was installed, together with two double glazed doors across the back of the property.

Following wiring and plastering the new area, a new kitchen was installed to the customer’s specification, incorporating a central island (leaving the customer to install their own flooring).

Additional works included electrical work to install ceiling spotlights and pendant lighting above the central island. Two designer radiators were installed and external drainage work was also completed to address the amendments to the kitchen plumbing.

3 Solutions were able to assign an experienced site supervisor and a designated team of multi-skilled operatives to the project. All operatives are fully trained in Health & Safety and also hold a range of qualifications in trades and associated accreditations.

All operatives take great pride in the work they complete and are always considerate to the environment they are working in to ensure that the area is left clean and tidy.
